    Hi all,

I'm trying again to build my little sampler but I'm finding some difficulties. I've based my patch on the granular synthesis as described in the famous Johannes Kreidler's on-line tutorial.

    Let's take the patch "3-7-1-1-granular-theory5":

    http://www.pd-tutorial.com/english/patches/3-7-1-1-granular-theory5.pd

    as example.

In this kind of "sampler" how can I set the start and the end loop points?

How can I make the selected part to play in loop or to be a "one shot" that plays every X ms?

Thank you all again for you kindness!

    Hi all,

I'm working (and learning) on my first pd patch. I am trying to build a sampler and I want to control the starting and the ending point of the sample in real-time. I've read the pd's help but I didn't find anything that could help me to build something similar.

My patch for the moment is simply:

    [1( [0(
    | /
    [readsf]----[open... .wav(
    |
    [dac]

I would like the sample to play in loop when it reaches the end.

Thank you all, for your help!

Hi to all, this is my first 3d in this forum.

I started studying pd by my own some weeks ago, I do not have any background in programming and informatics.

In these days I'm trying to build a sample-based glitch patch, like the MaxMSP's one in this video:

    .

Because of my inexperience (the patch does not look too difficult to replicate) I would like to ask you how to make the "jumping" sample reader with visual waveform with pure data.

Thank you all for your kind interest and help!

I think it's really simple to solve, hoping for someone to show me what connections to make :(

This is really interesting! (I love music violence)

Can I ask you how do you to make all this noise with granular? Low grains? And what else?

Don't have lot of time to listen to everything now but Nemett is simply GREAT!

    Hi all.

I'm a newbie pd user from Treviso.

It is a couple of month I started studying pure data. Before I tried with MAXMSP and then moved to pd.

I'm really glad to see other italian users - and really serious user, professors and experts -. The main problem i found in the transition from max to pd is the absence of good explanation and tutorials for the last one.

We won't find anything like the Giri's volume for max in Pd. I'm having some problem to learn the program with precision and confidence.

    Thank you a lot mnb!

Forgive me for being so explicit: I really do not understand how to make right connections.

I've took and modified a little the patch linked above, I only need someone to explain me how to connect everything.

If someone could show me how to solve the "one shot problem" it would be great.

    Thank you all!

P.S: is there an object or a way to see the name of the sample that is loaded in the patch?

    Thank you all again.

    I tried.

phasorLoopingAndOffset is too much smooth for me. I just need to find the way to play a sample at his original speed in my patch...

Ohh that's great! This patch is really cleaner than my glitchsampler!

I'll keep the dirty effect of changing speed on mine and I'll modify the rest. With this patch changing the starting-ending point does not cause any noisy-glitchy (unwanted) sound! But it is true, they affect the sample speed... I must find a way to fix this...

Thank you very much Jwif, your attachment was perfect!

"vel. riproduzione" is the speed of the sample playing, now I'll check your patch, thanks!

    Thank you Jwif!

I am sorry but I do not understand how to do the 1st point. I tried to put the result of [expr 44100 / $f1] in the inlet of the hslider "vel. riproduzione" and to activate the message with the but it didn't work...

Hi all! I've built a little sampler (copied and modified from a tutorial) but I've some problems with it. I'm sure it is something easy to solve but at the moment I can't understand how. If someone could help me it would be great!

    The problems are the followings:

    1. Understanding how to make the sample to play at his original speed (straight and reverse) when I press the buttons over and under the comment "velocità normale".

    2. Making the hsliders "inizio loop" and "fine loop" not to cause awful noises when I move them. I tried to put [line]s everywhere but I did not find the solution.

    3. I don't know if it is possible... But is there a way to do not have the audio stopping and noise glitches when i load a sample ("carica audio" button) in an glitchsampler while another one is playing?

Here's my little patch, thanks a lot for everyone will help me!

And... hem. The patch sometimes does not start. I can't understand why >:(
