Sorry to clutter these boards with what is most likely a very basic, easily fixable problem, but Pd isn't making any sound for me. I did an Audio test (not a midi test since my keyboard is currently being repaired), and it sounded fine. I have turned 'audio on.' Do i need midi input in order to produce sounds with Pd, or is possible to design patches that run absent of a keyboard? Thanks for your help. I look forward to working with this program.

thx. i downloaded an "easysampler" i found on the patches board, which produced sound, so I know at least that when I'm not making sound it's because of something with the patch and not a problem more fundamental.
