I'm wondering if it's possible to program physics on a fader?

so, for example, if i were to let go of a fader as i was pushing it up it would continue sliding as if it had mass.

how would one program momentum on sliders in PD?

so that when you move a fader it's movement would respond based on 'mass' and 'friction' variables... if you let go of the fader it would continue in the direction and slow down based on those variables.

and help or direction would be appreciated.
