I'm just getting started with pd and I'm having a problem that I can't seem to figure out. Essentially, any tone played through pd is interspersed with metronomic clicks, including the test tone. I've tried re-installing the program, messing with the audio preferences on my computer in case it is a buffering thing (I'm using a powerPC running OSX) and nothing seems to fix the problem. The only thing I haven't tried is using an external DAC as my audio I/O and only because I'm at work, and I leave that at home. Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas on what the problem could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just to be sure I'm doing this right, can I change the blocksize through the "startup" menu in preferences, or do I have to enter that in the terminal?

I'm beginning to think it's actually a synching issue between the ADC and the DAC. I just noticed I'm getting a "audio I/O error" in the printout. Everything seems right in terms of sample rate, and I turned the internal mic on my comp down to zero, in case that was a problem. Maybe I'll have better luck when I get home and bust out the Apogee.
