Hi. I'm starting with pd and my question is probably an easy issue, related to configuring the audio in pd as many other posts I have seen here.

Starting with pd -alsa I get the following message
tried but couldn't sync A/D/A
[...]
tried but couldn't sync A/D/A
audio I/O stuck... closing audio

And I can't listen the test audio signal from the menu.

PD was working fine before installing the extended package, now I'm lost how to make this work again. Any help in troubleshotting and debugging the proble will be very much appreciated.

System:
Ubuntu Studio Gutsy (7.04)
Pd version 0.39.3-extended
