i have used pd+gem under linux and windows, but now need to use it under macos x, how do i start pd with gem?

i found gem 0.90.1 finally handles video great, but now crashes a lot, it even expects to every time i open a movie with pix_movie (it prints a msg about loading a new movie, might crash in the console).

is there a fix for this? has someone compiled a windows binary of a later version?
