    Recently in one book on puredata I came to an object [demultiplex] or [demux]. However, when I try to create it doesn't seem to be recognised.

    Was the object deleted or ... ?

    @LiamG Thank you for your reply. I do understand now that float doesn't produce a bang and pd that's why PD gives me "no method for 'float'"

    However, it is extremely difficult for me to understand the difference from let's say my 3rd patch that didn't work, and your suggested one with a modification [t f f] at the very end. Although I see that it affect the order of operation, when I start manually producing the chain of events in my head, I get really lost and don't see the difference - especially when it comes to [==] which compares same numbers over and over again (let's say [random 2] spits out 0 3 times in a row - how does it differ? my mind gets lost in the chain of events) :///

    Could maybe someone explain the order of operations of my [sel] objects on both left and right. 1473000944963-1-working-2-not-working.pd Eventually, I want them to do the same thing, but 3 examples work very differently. (1) Works perfectly (2.1) and (2.2.) do not work in the same way as (1) does, although I am only omitting a few things, and without them I think it should still work in the same way.

    I am new to PD, so I really want to understand everything that's going on, and I think that if I don't it will harm my future patching.

    @jayrope thanks for such detailed reply. Yet, what I needed (to do an exercise from the book 'Loadbang'), is done. Now I want to understand why certain patches I wrote worked, while others didn't.

    You mentioned there are two kind's of pure data programs - vanilla and extended? correct? Which one to use for beginner? THANK YOU!

    @alexandros The idea is to print out numbers without repetition. Your idea is so much more advanced that I am not even going into that yet hehe

    @whale-av Thank you so much - you have no idea how helpful it is. I understand that [b] is so much more different as it doesn't send any number, while [f] does, correct? I mean that was the whole problem with my little patch.
    Yet, I am uploading other modifications, which I do want to understand - maybe you'll be interested, too? 1 working - 2 not working.pd It basically is the same patch with 3 different versions, which I cannot understand why the 1st is working and other 2 do not.

    I am asking this (and annoying everyone in the forum with this stupid questions) because as I do not understand it, I am afraid to proceed further with studying. Or perhaps I am too paranoid and should just let it be and what I know is sufficient enough?
