Thank you for the suggestions. I tried running with no externals loading, with different audio configurations and everything. I finally deleted the preferences file and that fixed the problem! I don't know what the cause was in the end :\ But at least I have working Pd now

It seems that as soon as I turn off DSP or try to close a patch, pd becomes totally unresponsive and goes to to 100% CPU usage. I have to force quit the application, and then it still leaves a zombie process that continues to use 100% CPU until I kill it.

Anyone experienced this or have any insight??
