Aye, two things I've been looking (probably not hard enough) for. Especially after the performance I just saw in ICA by Florian Hecker!

    1. to be able to choose which audio outputs and inputs to use to route through particular sections of a patch, rather than having to go to 'Audio Settings'. Does such a function exist for PD?

    2. I've looked at bonk~, fiddle~ and rhythm~ but none seem to quite give the correct tempo recognition of any more complex samples or rhythms like Traktor or Live can do. Has anyone made this tempo recognition algorithm for PD, if so where please.

tremendous thanks to any goodness there. Cheers

I know it's quite a simple thing but I haven't managed to find any pitch bend that anyone may have made.

I've made a kind of crappy one using resampling with small sample sizes but it chops the sound too much.

Does anyone know of a good pitch bend (maybe fft based) I could use to put just before the dac~ ?

Does anynone konw if there's a way to enter data sucessfully into an array with a function?

for exaple (from C01nyquist.pd) a message object:

    ;
    table24 sinesum 256 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 1, normalize 0.4

It makes some great sounds and I'd like to be able to change those 0s and 1s just by setting certain keys (key) or notes (notein) so that I can change them on the fly.

I tried using pack but that doesn't seem to be te right object.

    cheers

Do any of you know how I can manage to record samples who's size isn't limited? I'd like to be able to just record for however long, then stop and have my sample.

Is there a simpler way (or an external) than using counters and table resize objects?

I tried recording straifght into Live but it won't recognise the temo of what it records. Only files brought to it! I also tried saving audio in sound forge, to then retriev in Live which woudl tell teh tempo, but it takes way too long.

I guess it's tiem to get tapping and fine tuning the tempo. Cheers minikomi

Meagle, I may try that out some day . ..

    Cheers folks,

Meagle, I don't have rythm_estimator. Do you know where I can find it?

CM, shame I'm on Windows for now. Also a shame VAC (Virtual Audio Cable) is so crap compared to Jack, and the only audio patch bay I've found so far. I'll see if http://aubio.piem.org/pub/aubio-0.3.0.tar.gz works when I next get time with my PD baby.

there must be a tempo recognition algorithm at least! . . .!

I'm not a Sysex expert but I woudl expect you could create your Sysex messages using 'message' boxes and connect them to a 'midiout'...

Maybe try sending Sysex messages to it that you can then keep and use connected to 'midiout' ?

Thanks. I had been breifly looking at G09 on and off for a while (on 0.37) and hadn't been happy with it. It turns out that it has a fault.

    vd~ G09-del should be vd~ delay1 or the delay1 should be G09-del of course.

    And it's nice and smooth!

    Cheers

    Wow! that was easy!

Thanks so much for your tips. Hardoff, I did the zexy one. it's just the trick. I've now got it set up controlling array25 with my uc-33e. Will probably expand it into a monster now no doubt.

    Then learn more about zexy.

    cheers
