Hello, I hope this question isnt too vague or complicated, I'm very new to pure data, I've only done some simple experiments with other people's patches. I'd like to make a sampler patch for my friends live music. I don't think I can do it with anything currently available but I was thinking it might be simple enough to make up in pd. basically I need to load one stereo track between 3:00 and 7:00 minutes, assign start points at the beginning of every measure, and be able to trigger the song playback at those start points. That will be hundreds of start points so I might need to auto reassign the trigger to activate the next start point in the song. The goal is to be able to sync the backing track up perfectly to a live drummer (instead of trying to drum perfectly to a track) Does this program sound like a possibility in pure data? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Now Im 99% sure it has something to do with the " poly" object, but I'm still not exactly sure how I should patch up the message boxes. Can someone point out a patch that does this? It's just somehow a message box where I can keep changing both numbers. Thanks
