Hi,
i tried to load some jpeg images using pix_image in combination with the pix_texture and square objects - a most simple patch. it worked well for file sizes smaller than about 300 kb. But whenever i try to load a jpeg, which is larger (e.g. 900 kb) i only get a white square, no error message.
Is the filesize of loadable images (e.g. jpeg files) limited to some value? which value? why?
Or do i miss a point (i'm a newbe to computer graphics applications)? Thanks

Hello,
i want to make a midi controlled slide show patch, in the way that by sending a midi note message to the pach, a new image is loaded from harddisk and a crossfade (with controllable crossfade time) is done between this and the previous image. The midi note comes from an audio sequencer (Ableton Live) that also triggers the corresponding sound.
Is it possible to crossfade two images with GEM?
If yes - how?Thanks

Thank you very much, i think that is exactly what i need.
just one little problem: in your patch there is the prepend object which uses the iem_prepend_kernel object. i don't have this object even if i have installed the pdext0384 distribution (which includes the iemLib). Where can i find the iem_prepend_kernel object?
