    I have been messing around with some markov chains but now i want to try some second order markovs for added complexity.

    Can anyone tell me a good way to implement second order markovs in pd? or possibly a resource that may help me

    Hello forum,

    I've been formulating an idea that i want to try (i have seen it done before) in that i want the user to able to play a drum beat on a midi keyboard or enter it into a step sequencer and have pure data loop the beat but then change it gradually over time algorithmically. Can anyone give me any ideas for how to do this? or has anyone tried/done this before and can give me some guidance?

    One idea i have had is rating the strength of a beat musically and these strengths of beats determine probabilities in a markov chain but aside from that i'm not sure where to go with it

    i'm trying to create a continuous sine wave amplitude output in the form of the number so i can use it as a control value but i can't think of a way to do it that doesn't give a stack overflow.

    I've attatched the best i can do but can anyone else think of a way of getting that output without the stack overflow? i need the sine to start at 0 degrees as and when i want it to and i need the numbers to be between -1 and 1 and i need to be able to affect the time it takes to go one full cycle in ms

    Is there a way to convert a stream of audio from an audio object to a stream of numbers or at least a simplified stream of numbers? I want to use a waveform to output a range of midi CC numbers but not sure how to do it

    Either a way to convert audio -> control data or another way of doing the waveform thing would be great (both would be even better)
