Hi all. I'm a new board member and a fairly new (3-months) Pd user.

I'm having a problem with the [symbol] object. If I send a symbol to its right inlet, and then a bang to its left inlet, [symbol] does not update its output. It's like sending stuff to its right inlet has absolutely no effect, unlike the [int] and [float] objects.

Is this normal behavior or a bug? I'm using Pd vanilla 0.40.2 and 0.41

Is there any reason that sending just [water( to the left inlet does work, but not for the right inlet?
