@Boran-Robert Thanks for the thorough reply; I'm familiar with building things in Flowstone, Reaktor, and AudioMulch, and have dabbled a bit in SuperCollider and ChucK,, but I admittedly don't come to Pd from a coding/programming perspective (nosing around some DSP forums has led me to bump into C++ library discussions here and there, but that doesn't count).
In all of these, it's been best to start slow and simple to make sure things are understood before diving in and getting lost, so, good advice

Hi folks!
New to using Pd, and running a Win 7 x64 machine- while I like Purr Data's schmancy GUI and many libraries,
I was a little nonplussed to see there's only an x86 version; would one recommend the 5.0 Vanilla x64 release, or go ahead with Purr?Apologies if this is wrong place to ask.
