I am trying to use MIDI to trigger specific drum hits, attached best guess. I am trying use specific keys for different drum hits loaded into arrays. The values that seem to be comming out of my [== 36], to try and trigger specific hits, seem to be right but I am still get a drum hit no matter which key I press.
Any ideas thanks

Bit of a newbie question. Perhaps this is more MIDI than PD anyway
I have managed to sequence an oscilator in PD using MIDI no problem. What I wanted to do is use one PD file to contain all of the elements of a song. The synths/wav files etc.
Then I want to be able to record each of these different elements back into a DAW as separate channels so that I can mix it. Can I do this with noteout ?
Is there an easy way to achieve this ??
By the way I'm using Linux
Thanks

The issue is that osc~ outputs a cosine wave and you need to add up sine waves. If you set your 'phase' off set to a 0.75 it should work.

I've had another go and cracked if I start pd from the command line using
$pd -jack -inchannels 2 -outchannels 8
with jack already running then I get the additional channels I wanted.
I will have a look and see if I can set it up in the preferences.
Thanks All for the help

I think I have tried to do it this way but the additional channels don't appear on the Jack Connect panel. Will have another go and try a bit harder this time
I guess from what you are saying is that Jack isn't limited to physical channels on my computer ?
