I'd like to use some beautiful patchs (like a loopsample player, a grain synth etc.) inside a patch create by myself to manipulate them in other ways... but I find lots of problems trying this. I suppose I'm a bit confused about the place where pd store my new patch, how pd search for libraries and how it use them, if I need to copy the file of the external patch I'd like to use (e.g. the sample loop of the examples manuals) inside a specific directory or if it's possible just to copy and paste it inside the new patch... Do I add inlets and outlets at that external patch and use it like an abstraction??... I'm really very confused, but I try again and again... thanks in advance for the help and sorry for my English

I'm a new PD user not expert. I've downloaded the free to use pd synth "polywavesynth" from the author's site (Phil Stone http://pkstonemusic.com). When I open it I've got a list of errors from the PD inspector like: "lib/sssad ....etc. .....couldn't create" and another list of errors like: "error: inlet: expected .. but got float". Can anyone help me? Thanks

like suggested by the author of the synth I downloaded and installed pd-extended (ver. 0.40.3)yesterday.(before I was using ver. 0.39)but it still doesn't work. Thank you hardoff for your support but I suppose it's too hard for me to undrestand something like ..."some weird namespace clash"...etc. (I'm using this wonderfull software just since 1month ... ) thanks again
