Is it possible to have PD send audio to two different devices/locations? Is it possible for, say, [ dac~ 1 ] to send to your computer's output while [ dac~ 2 ] sends to an external audio interface?

I've just discovered the 'const' message function for the array - in which you can specify a single value to be written to an entire array.
Is there any way to use this function but only within a limited range of an array? For example, I would like to assign the value of 7 to index 5-26.
is this possible?

i am interested in vocoders but haven't had much luck penetrating the math involved with any patch or documentation about them. and it seems that the term 'vocoder' is applicable in a broader range of contexts than i thought. when i think of a 'vocoder,' i think of some device that allows you to filter one sound source according to the frequency analysis of another, thus you could, for example, produce an effect not unlike a guitar talk box by filtering audio of your voice according to the spectral analysis of a guitar playing. are there any patches set up for this type of task? where one could load two sound files and 'map' them on to each other?

i've got a patch in which i need my keyboard's key-repeat function turned off. this is the function that allows you to hold down the 'a' key and get aaaaaaaaaaaa. it's easy to do this in a mac's system preferences, but i wonder is there a way to do this from pd, so it's all adjusted automatically when i open a patch
