I'm just starting with pure data, I'm following the flossmanual, and arrived to [hid] (wich's actually [hidin] I guess). The manual covers how to map a genius joystick that I don't own, but, I have a lovely midi controller called Orbit, from Numark. I've tried to follow the indications and route abs__x abs_y etc, but no values are comming from the controller. The question is:

How can I actually "see" wich kind of values I'm able to expect from the Orbit controller, in order to, then, write a patch in which I get them for useful purposes? Any suggestions?
