    Hi there

I download the pix_opencv and installed it as the readme txt in the package.
But I can use the abstraction from the opencv. I know I need to make the setting of startup and path. When I load the path, I can't choose the folder. Because the extra folder is inside of the pd application.

I also use the plist editor to add new path in org.puredata.pd.plist, it doesn't work.
Hope someone to give me advice and help me.

    I use osx 10.4.11, pd o.41.4

    the error info:
    /Applications/Audio/PureData/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/extra/pix_opencv_bgsubstract.pd_darwin: dlopen(/Applications/Audio/PureData/Pd-extended.app/Contents/Resources/extra/pix_opencv_bgsubstract.pd_darwin, 10): Symbol not found: _kCGColorSpaceGenericRGBLinear
    Referenced from: /Library/Frameworks/OpenCV.framework/Versions/A/OpenCV
    Expected in: /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/ApplicationServices

    pix_opencv_bgsubstract
    ... couldn't create

    thanks!

I use Pd 0.40.3 extended and reaktor 5 on osx 10.4

I read the manual of reaktor that it only support osc between tow or more reaktor. But I also read someone sent the osc between Pd and reaktor. I tired, but reaktor osc monitor display nothing, I don't if it has worked.

    anyone's suggestion?

    Thanks!

I rebuilt a rotate object for you, it works.

    It's cool.
I also meet the same problem as you.
You work show us that we can build any effect from a very basic object in PD. It depend on your knowledge about CG. To me, GLSL is confusing, I have no enough background about it. The GLSL examples is too simple.
I hope pd will be more easy to use and flexible in visual field. At the same time, we need learn more.
Indeed, I learned from your patch. Thanks!

if the you only have one live video, you can use [separator] object to feed the stream to different effect, and then use [multiplex] to decide which effect texture to rectangle.
use the help of the object to find more details.

what's audio interface do you use with your computer?
Have you choose it in pd's audio setting? Maybe you use the inner audio hardware now.

you have to play the video and sound form the video separately in Gem.
But you can use [pdp_qt~] from pdp.

you can use pix_movement and pix_blob to detecet the motion action. find the XY of the motion to compare with the region position to trigger.

    hi radiostarkiller

    thanks for reply.
I have installed the opencv framework, it's version 1.2.

    use terminal:
    cd /Volumes/OpenCV\ Private\ Framework/
    cp -R OpenCV.framework/ /Library/Frameworks/OpenCV.framework

    same!
maybe the way i install the framework is wrong?

I wonder if 'frequency' is a good property to reflect on this, by definition, it refers to how often the particles of the medium vibrate when a wave passes through the medium. So if more objects make noise/sound, higher the frequency as more particles vibrate through the medium.

frequency refers to how often the particles of the medium vibrate, means how many times in a second. It's nothing about the sound energy.
More objects making sound means more sound energy we can hear. We call
"amplitude". It's about energy - level - volume. So if you want to analysis the sound energy, frequency is not a right way.

mic recorder: Why not use computer,if you want record the sound?
Use Omni condenser microphone for the surround.
