hello!!! can somebody tell me what the merry hell is going on... i've tried to install pd onto linux from source file... first i had to install tcl and tk... which all seemed to go fine, and then i configured and installed pd, which also seemed to go fine. But when i try to run it from a konsole it spurts out the following:
"/usr/local/lib/pd/bin/pd-gui: error while loading shared libraries: libtk8.5.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
and then it gives it
"watchdog: signaling pd" off into infinity!
i'm pretty new to linux, but managed to get everything working fine a year ago or summin on a windows machine.
can anyone help???
PLEAAASE!!

yeah, its tk8.5, and all seemed to have installed fine...looking around on google kind of suggests to me that i need to shove a 'symbollic link' in somewhere, so pd can access tk... but god knows!! that don't seem to be working!
maybe an older version of pd is the answer! cheers!
