    Hello,

I have a strange problem...ever since spilling water on my laptop, the circuitry has been messed up so some combinations of buttons don't work. One such combination is Ctrl+1, one very important pd shortcut...is there any way to change this shortcut to something else?

Hey, I love linux as much as the next guy, but since my problem's hardwired to the motherboard circuit it doesn't help much. I've tried using software to switch different keys with Ctrl, but my keyboard circuit simply doesn't recognize the combination Ctrl+1 (or Ctrl+A for that matter) even if it's actually Caps Lock+1 or something else. I don't see how switching to linux would help, unless I compiled my own version of pd with my own keyboard shortcuts.

Silvawhale, thanks for the optimism! Unfortunately it happened a while ago. I already got a replacement keyboard, which solved most but not all of the problems -- some problems seem to have gone into the motherboard circuit.

Sorry, forgot to mention -- I'm on Windows XP. I've actually already used keyboard remapping to fix a couple other problems. (See http://xs435.xs.to/xs435/09041/secretplan923.png)

Anyway, if I could switch CTRL with something else if I have to, though I'd rather be able to just change it inside pd...maybe I'll have to edit the source code and compile it myself...
