. I can't work out how its done? I am on OS X I've gone through audio midi set up. I can get ableton to pick up midi information from the minibrute with a plug in synth so theres some sort of connection.

I've a patch in PD with makenote and noteout but the minibrute won't respond to this. How can I control the analogue circuit of the minibrute with pure data like the video I've linked above, I am not sure what to do now?

maybe could you post your patch, it would easier to help you.

Anyway did you checked whether the Arturia is listening to the same midi channel that pd is using to send data ?

A common general advise about midi debugging would be to "sniff" your midi connection with some application like this : http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/ , if needed. (Didn't test snoize myself).

At the moment im just using the testtone.pd patch. As I've only copy and pasted objects from here anyway.... Screen Shot 2014-11-15 at 23.07.38.png . Pure Data crashes when I go into Media then MIDI settings? But I've adjusted the objects so they're listening through the same channel, its only going to be 1 or 2 surely? Im not sure if its clear where Im getting this wrong? Is there wanything else I can try or does Midi data back to the minibrute not work through USB?
