Is there some method for capture messages from console? I'm working on patch that generates second order markov chains and sometimes generated random value mismatches with existing values, so i got a message : coll's error: no such key. I need to capture this message. Any help appreciated.

if you are in linux, you can start pd routing std to a txt file, like so:

pd-extended > console.rec.txt

Thanks for response Sunji, but i think my question is a little bit incorrect. I meant capturing messages via some object inside pd.

that is a trickier one, diplipito. can you catch the event before it tosses the error and handle it, avoiding the error all together? Thats a best practice approach. alternately, you can open the log I mentioned above with [textfile] and scan it periodically for the error.
