Hi there, I am developing a performance peace with ableton/GEM.

I am trying to write to a an array which its controlling the and [translateXYZ].
So far so good, I can write to a certain part of my array via midi keyboard, but it only writes to one part of the array... I'd like to write to multiple parts at the same time. I'm using [notein] hooked up to [tabwrite array]
is there anyway to write to multiple parts of the array with one twist of a knob? or one chord on the keyboard.

have a look at the help file for [tabwrite]. The right inlet sets the write position.

thanks but I'm trying to write to multiple positions at once, or very quickly at least. e.g. slide a midi knob from 1-127 and have it write at each position, you get me?

i still don't see the problem.

the right inlet sets the position, and the left inlet sets the value. So, for example, if you want to write a value of 17 at position 64, and then a value of 0 at position 8, all you'd do is send 64 to the right inlet and 7 to the left one...then immediately after send 8 to the right inlet and 0 to the left one.

as long as you set the right inlet first, and left inlet second (ie, by using [t f f] or [unpack] or something), then you can write as many positions as you want, instantaniously.

you don't even really have to use [tabwrite] either...you can just send values directly to the array with a send object, ie:
