Hey all,

I have an idea for an installation and I'm just wondering if it's possible using PD.

Basically I want to play a recording back through some loudspeakers but its playback will be defined by contextual information (I was thinking possibly by the number of people in the room, or even better, their location within the room).

Does anyone have any ideas about how I could go about doing this?

If the installation gets used and you have given me help, I will credit you as 'Technical Assistant' if you like.

should be pretty simple. set up a camera facing down from the ceiling, and then use [pix_blobtracker] or something like that to keep track of the people and their location.

you need pd-extended with GEM to do that.
