Hi,

Is anyone here able to record from Pd into Propellerheads Reason?

With MIDI Yoke, I can play notes and control events using [noteout], [makenote], [midiout], [ctlout], etc..

But, while it's receiving instructions from Pd, pressing record in Reason records nothing.

I'm using Pd 0.42.5-extended, MIDI Yoke NT 1.75, and Reason 3.

Your help is much appreciated!

Several years before today I was dealing with the same problem. Unfortunately, Propellerheads Reason is a very good standalone music making tool. I couldn't even make it record midi input from different midi channels simultaneously. I had to use Ableton Live as a midi (and audio recording) input device and then sending midi data via rewire technology = misuse of resources. Midi yoke is a good turnaround but, anyway, these programs are somewhat binary (fully with me / without me). I would definitely by the latest version of P-Reason (that comes with P-Record "inside") but I would not expect to do the kind of connections I make nowadays using FLOSS. A compromise between both worlds, so to speak.
I moved to Free/Libre Software since 2008 and now my freedom to connect devices/programs and make music is only limited by my own capabilities. It is way harder, but it's a personal choice.
If you succeed in connecting Pd to Reason (I wish that), please post the solution. There might be some who are still wanting to use MS-Win + Pd + Reason.

It might be a problem that Jack doesn't recognize Pd-extended 0.42.5 on Windows, but maybe this has changed now...
