I'm curious if there's any external or abstraction or simple method to do the resynthesis from fft data with a bank of oscillators insted of inverse fft. i know it's probably more cpu intense, but the results seem to be superior in sound quality. any ideas?

i'm almost done now with hacking the fftease code to make my own external for analysis/resynthesis. it should simplify things like in the example you mentioned and make it better sounding, more efficient and ready for live processing if it all works out the way i imagine. there's still some work to do though.
