Hope someone can help me here.

I am using [fiddle~] to give me the pitch of the audio input.
I have no problem writing MIDI note numbers to a text file using [write blahblah.txt( to [textfile]

What i want to do is then click an object like [read blahblah.txt] and have the stored MIDI values play back through a simple osc. But i cant get it to work!

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i can upload the patch if needed.

you can do something like

[read blahblah.txt cr, rewind(
|
| [bang(
|/
[textfile]
|
*your synth

The read message opens the textfile, converts carriage returns into semicolons (omit the cr if you already have semicolons at the end of each line) and rewinds to the beginning of the file. You would then repeatedly [bang( the |textfile| object to output the individual lines from the text file.
