Hello All,

I am creating a patch for a Uni project. I have managed to get a wav file into an array/table.

HOWEVER

I am now having a problem that i cannot find the answer to, i know its probably so simple, but i am having to ask,

how do i get this array to play at a normal speed/pitch when i send a bang to it?

Any help would be grateful. Thank you in advance

This is really an RTFM Treggy, starting from the help menu top right go look in

/help/3.audio.examples/B07.sampler.pd

Don't forget to make sure your array name and the name in [tabread4~] are the same.

Another option you might want to explore is the [tabplay~] object, especially if you don't intend to timestretch/pitchshift the sample written to your array. A Bang message will simply start the sample from the top of the array and play to the end.

By the way, what is an RTFM?

Yeah, Hardoff had a patch the other day with a really nice construct in it, a [tabplay~] with the righthand outlet (which bangs when the sound is finished) connected back to the
lefthand inlet via a spigot so you can have a loop (or not) very easily.

yes, as a matter of fact. And I've been performing weekly with my laptop running puredata for over a month now. Damn is that satisfying. I'm finally over the initial hump.
