A friend of mine would like to (have me) create an "internet DJing" patch. The idea being that a "chat room" of DJs could mix with one another - I suggested having a Master Fader, that is, everyone is selecting material and beat-matching, but there are a few people that are responsible for mixing.
This is all irrelevant if there's not an effective means of streaming the audio...I'll be looking around. We might consider doing with something outside of PD, right? Connect with Jack.
I believe it would need the kind of data compression used by cell phones and skype right? Errr...hack skype?!?! I know from playing "live" DJ sets over skype that the latency varies...
