hi. I am new with PD and I am having some trouble to find a freq analyzer. I am working on my special project for the university and it consists on studying the behaviour of sound in different landscapes. I have done some recordings of an exploding ballon and record it with a zoom recorder. wanted to know if there is any frequency analyzer patch I can inset my audio file and get a graphical info of it or maybe how can a built one? It would be of a lot of help for me. thankss

Any chance you know any program or way of getting a graphical representation?¿

If you check in the example patches (go under help and open up the browser) there are some example patches for using an FFT process to convert signals in the time domain to signals in the frequency domain.
I'm pretty sure the examples will teach you to make a basic graphical representation of what frequencies are in the sound you are analyzing. I'm not sure how useful this basic graph would be in comparison to something you could find in another free program, though.

Spear is excellent for analysis - http://www.klingbeil.com/spear/
Also Audacity can be selected to represent waveform, spectrum or pitch - http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
both free and cross platform

baudline is sharp, too
