I'm wondering if there's a way to patch an audio panic button that also resets all the metros, vd~ and any other time related operations? For example, if a patch has a long reverb or delay tail, I'd like to just stop or reset it. [; pd dsp 0( stops the output but all the timers?

well there is an object called [send][/receive].

if you put a 0 message into [send panic] you will receive a 0 message from all the [receive panic] objects you have. or you can send a stop message. but better yet, if you put a bang into send panic, you'll receive a bang and you can translate all of those into [stop\ or [0\ or [whatever\
