Hi,
I need to create some generative, algorithmic mathematical patterns for backgrounds for a web site - you know the kind - and I'm looking at Processing and obviously GEM for this kind of thing. I don't really know too much about the graphical side of Pd, but I can't seem to find that much in the realm of 2d stuff, but there's plenty of 3d. Is its main focus on real time manipulation?
Is GEM suited to this kind of thing? or would I be better off with Processing and saving off renders. I know Pd's architecture pretty well, so I'd hit the ground strolling nicely, whereas with Processing I'd have to do the baby steps thing to produce anything decent...
cheers
