I haven't come across any tutorial patches showing how this can be done, or if there's another way to send MIDI data to Reason. Anybody know?
Thanks in advance,

Connecting Pd to Reason 4 with ReWire

hey
its just simple. start the "audio-midi-setup" open the midi window and activate the "IAC-Bus" when its activated start reason and puredata and use the bus (you can add more than one busses) to connect the apps.
cheers and have fun

By renoise, do you mean Rewire? Renoise is a DAW. I'm trying to connect Pd to Reason with rewire. In fact, I'd settle for connecting without rewire. I set the IAC driver previously and am using the noteout and pgmout objects. The patch works fine with AU Synth, but I'm getting zip from Reason. It could a routing prefs issue, but I've futzed with it a lot. Arghh...
sorry. have to rewrite. mean puredata. renoise is a tracker i am also working with.
Just tested it and give you a screenshot. it works very well
hope it would help ^^
cheers

Thanks, that is pretty simple. I was thinking there might be a rewire object, like in Max. What would be cool is to control 3 or 4 different Reason samples/synths/instruments at the same time. I can probably figure that out using three noteouts and three pgmouts.
Oops! Looks like something went wrong!
