wondering if there's an object out there that can read & edit hex of a file? specifically of a jpeg image.
-
you can use [motex/system] to send command line messages to hexedit, or a similar program

pd123: thanks! will this work on linux or does anyone know of any similar command line objects for linux? i will look into it. possibly [shell]?
-
[shell] might be the best object ever.

Yeah, really expands the possibilities. Here's a list of similar objects. [motex/system] works best for me on Mac OS X.
flatspace/popen
moonlib/popen
motex/system
