Hello, pure data people!

Well, it appears that my Dell Inspiron just crapped out, so I'm probably going to need a new laptop for all of my audio stuff. As a reference, I was running PD-extended, (forget which number) and SuperCollider 3 just fine on my machine, and that's what I'll be running for the next year or so. I might also be getting ProTools LE at some point, but that won't be for a bit.

So here's my dilemma; I only have about $500 bucks to spend, and I need a new laptop by the end of the summer. Any suggestions out there? I much, much prefer machines that are built for Windows, but I'm open to anything that works for me.

For what it is worth,....

I don't do very heavy stuff, and essentially just try to keep myself informed on goings on with PD, by often browsing the forum, downloading patches, fiddling with them, and so on,.. but it has all worked very well for me over the past year or so on a 10" Asus EEE laptop.

My other laptop is a 14" HP, which is just too damned big for me to have a sprightly relationship with.
