I'm wondering if there is another way for recording midi files, without being it with the object "midifile", because I'm running it on windows 7, and it doesn't seem to be working properly...

I would like to open midi files written by pd with some program for layouting sheet music. I tried it with [midifile] and Sibelius and it did not work.
Do you know any sheet music editing program or any pd configuration to manage this?

this is an ancient thread but I am wondering if anyone ever made any headway with this? in particular it would be interesting to be able to output notation in real time....I am currently getting the midi after pd into sibelius using LoopMidi virtual ports, but for some reason (maybe a lack of a proper noteoff message -though I am using makenote) the notation is not written in real time as it would be from a midi keyboard...although sibelius is monitoring the midi in and I can see that some kind of data is being received

it would be super fun to get something like this working properly...
