I would love to get some pointers on a couple of issues. I have copied, pasted and been reading all over. And here is a kind of FM synth. But:

• I dont know if my vcf filter is in the right place? Where are som normal places to put filters?

• The pink noise takes over, how can a mix it in better? I really like the noise it does from the preset to the far right.

• Some other way to store and retrieve presets easy? Url?

And, i had a [line] coming from a message box with [1, 0 100] And it worked, it was placed between vcf and the last osc. But when i tried to set the time with message boxes i completely failed.

Guidance in any way, tips, tricks, pointers etc is gratefully appreciated. meanwhile i'll continue down the www.pd-tutorial.com -road.

Typically, the filter would come after the oscillator, but there's nothing wrong with experimenting. Filtering the modulated frequency input, as you have, seems like a pretty interesting idea to me! It give quite different results. It probably wouldn't hurt to add another filter after the oscillator, though, to give more intuitive control of it.

As for the noise, you might just want to crossfade the unmodulated frequency with the noise-modulated one as like a wet-dry mix.
