Select crashes and hangs PD if you try to see HELP.

any ideas how I could get it to open up the helpfile?

Vista sp2 - PD 0.4.41

Works fine here on XP and OSX, Pd-extended 0.4.41. Don't know if it will work, but have you tried making an object called [select-help]? That will just load the helpfile as an abstraction.

I tried to create the object but it did not work(no object). Tried to open the Select Help directly with File/Open but it still crashes and hangs requires task manager to quit.

Tried it on another Vista Laptop and same results. Even got a message from windows "There was a problem with Windows that caused it to stop working correctly."

The object itself works as expected. So not too bad.
