This is a simple question, but I am having trouble getting a patch to open on startup, presumably because I am using incorrect commands. As a start up flag, I typed in:
-open georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A drafts/draft4.pd

Here is the error I get:
-open georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A drafts/draft4.pd: can't load library

I've tried a forward slash before georgehiggs, as well as a tilde plus forward slash.
Can anyone help me here with this simple issue?

from memory, i think you can open a patch directly from the command line that opens pd.

something like: pd -alsa (-blahblahblah....) georgehiggs/Documents/Evolvaphone/A drafts/draft4.pd

i think you can do this simply by right-clicking on your pd icon and changing its properties. if you're using pd-extended it may be more tricky.

oh, and pretty sure that there is an answer to this question somewhere on this forum from a while back. might help to do a search.
