I'm building a patch with several time the same abstraction (pd file) in it ..
but in this abstration there is 3 array and i wanted to name them

$0-pitchlvl
$0-velolvl
$0-samplenb

i wanted to name it like this to be sure it will not disturb the other copy of the same abstraction.

but i get problem to fill these array because i fill them with a message like this :

$0-samplenb 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.7 0.1 0.2 0.5

and it doesn't reconize the $0, it's converting automaticaly to 0

strange - i only know that behaviour if the $-sign is not at the beginning of the name. but in your case it is.

Messages can't understand $0 variables alone. You have to store the variable automatically created by $0 into a float and access it how you normally would if you were accessing an element in a list:

[$0 ]
|
[;
[ $1-samplenb 0.2 0.4 0.6 0.7 0.1 0.2 0.5 \

jeeez, i should pay more attention while reading posts here - of course, you are right!
