Beautiful!
thanks!
i've tried to use pix_record to record quick cuts between shots like you have in your video, but with major crashing problems. what methods did you use to export the video out of pd? what codec did you use?
We didn't use pix_record since we were using 6 different gemheads projecting on 6 different square shapes. We used SnapX Pro at 20 frames per second.
The codec of the original source material loaded though pix_film did make a difference though. We found that using Photo Jpeg at 99% quality (not 100%!) offered the least CPU intensive experience. It makes since since decoding a codec which doesn't use any interframe compression taxes the CPU less than one that does. Beware that Photo Jpeg files are quite big. I'd assume that on a computer with a slow hard drive bus large files would present a problem.
Also, if you're not using any signal processing turn it off. We did use it though since we used portions of the song to affect the video, but in our experiments we found that not using it helps.
Oops! Looks like something went wrong!
