Just looking for some technical hints how to process sustained drum sounds... if you ever had encountered this issue. say i have a one snare sample and want to get a good sounding roll out of it... silly question maybe (as usual )

You can have a [metro] object with a very short time, like 20-50 ms, connected to your player, which rapidly triggers the sample whenever it's on. Of course, this will produce a very machine-like, and most probably an unsatisfying result, so you might want to slightly randomize the time and amplitude to add subtle variations, sort of imitating a human performing such a musical gesture.

thanks yes that was also my idea to jitter some variables, to add some little feedback to the whole stream (?).
