Is this possible to open a file from the disk by the command [openpanel] but without an "open file" browser appearance, so directly?

For example: is it possible to open the graphic file using [image] connected with [openpanel] (or maybe something different?) without necessity of choosing the file from list given in "open file" browser? (According to this, the file could be open when the patch is running- using [loadbang]).

Basically, [openpanel] outputs the complete path to the file you've just chosen...

Did you look at the help patch? (right-click -> help)

You could give the [image] object an argument:

If your image is in the same dir. as your patch, you can write [image yourimage.ext]
If not, you could write [image /absolute/path/to/your/image.ext]
I didn't checked but relative paths could also work... just try.

So if you wanted to change the image while running the patch, you can feed it with a message:
[open /path/to/yourimage.ext(

according to the help patch, only gif ppm and pgm images work.
