Ok, when you call up the main PD window and check the box that shows the input and output level, what is the point where it is going "into the red"? It seems logical to me that 100 would be the limit before it clips, but I've seen the numbers go up past 100. Also, there are the boxes underneath the IN and OUT that say CLIP, but they are always grayed out and I've never seen them change. I guess I just want to know how to determine when clipping actually happens.

I'd also like to know if there is a way to put a limiter on the audio so it can't clip. Thanks.

Yeah, I just noticed that they don't work on my version either. Anyone else (with your version)? I'm sure they used to work fine and must have got broken and nobody noticed.

I'm in 0.40.3 extended (windows) and they work just fine over here. And yes, the numbers go way above 100, and i've noticed that the pd-clipping between 100 and 110 can be very beautiful indeed
