is there a a way to blend two texture objects (ie [pix_texture] )?
if running two patches simultaneously that output simultaneously in the same window, any way to blend those outputs together?

try using [alpha] in the render chain of one of the objects. you can set which object is always shown and which is being blended by numbering your gemheads.
ex: [gemhead 1] [gemhead 2]
i think the higher number displays on top and the lower numbers will be blended when [alpha] is activated.
