hello, i've just found a strange issue.
Puredata crashes every time I add a new audio object (i mean a object starting with '~'). I can open existing files, I can add any other objects, and it all works well, but I cannot do anything new because of this strange bug.
I use pd-extended 0.40.3 for Windows.
What's wrong?

Have you tried ending the object name/s with "~" rather than starting with it?

I've seen this same error with version 0.40.3 on OS X. It's a typo on my end, I'll type in ~* instead of *~ and before I know it the whole things crashes. I'll venture to guess it's some sort of bug in PD.

Cool, I didn't use pd for about a month and I tried "~osc 8"... well...
