I am trying to get the PD reactivision client to work in order to pick up messages from touchlib

The Processing client does this no problem on the same port 3333 but PD picks up
sweet F A.

I really need to get touchlib talking directly to PD for an exhibition in a month.

Sometimes the [OSC] objects in Pd believe that a socket is already in use and fail to connect. You need to try a different port or reset the sockets in this case.

Try printing the output from [netreceive] to debug the raw socket data.

Above 1000, usually those below are reserved for root.

Sockets are tricky sometimes. The process that created it should close it when done. But often the other end of the socket hangs on for a while waiting for a timeout. Sometimes you can just wait (never more than 120 seconds). Other times you need to send a signal. The command that you normally use for this is kill.

If you are able to use another port then try that. Try using 3334, 3335 etc...
