Several years ago I got some help with two patches that performed some analysis on an audio file. The general idea is that a sound file is opened, is run through fiddle (or for the second patch, a bandpass filter), and then some numeric info is spit out into a txt file. I've attached one of the pathces as an example.

I'm revisiting these patches now, and would like to know if there is a way to excute this process faster. I don't need to hear the sound file play in real time, I just would like to get the output as quickly as possible without distorting the information. Is this even possible? Would I have to use another method entirely?
