Hello,
what I did not find in the offical documentation of PD so far is an alphabetical index of the different objects PD provides, with a short description of each functionality.
Is there anything available online?

I think that is partly because some things change with time, and also partly because some things are separately made by different people.
In any case, here's an old list that I have handy. You may get newer from a web search.
